We begin by understanding what practicing Ahimsa means, do no harm, in order to make the progress that is right for you. Our efforts are directed by helping you to connect with being kind to yourself and thereby working to eliminate tension causing competition with self and others when you practice in a group setting. After all, if you hurt yourself by working past your current strength instead of building that strength to develop your yogic understanding you may never want to come back to class. You most likely already know what happens to your body after striving to keep up with that yogi who has mad skills on the mat next to you. Ouch!!! is all you can say as you ache through the next day or two.


We will learn and refine asanas as your skill level progresses in the classic Hatha Yoga style. I am a 2010 Kashi Ashram, Atlanta graduate. My effort to teach you at Ayogastudio is an effort to continue my teaching with the same integrity that I learned to develop my yoga practice while learning how to teach it.


Meet you on the mat and if you forget yours, it will be my pleasure to provide you with one.
